On February 18, we marked 153 years since the hanging of Vasil Levski – the Apostle of Freedom – in our kindergarten, using an age-appropriate and accessible approach.
We shared a short and understandable story with the youngest children about his life, his courage, and the great love for his homeland that guided him. The children listened attentively and with genuine interest to the story of the Apostle.
Afterwards, each child eagerly created a thematic card in memory of Vasil Levski – a small but heartfelt gesture of respect.
Through this activity, we took the first small steps toward building love for the homeland, respect for history, and gratitude to those who gave their lives for our freedom.
