At “Nikator” Private Kindergarten, we believe that knowing the rules of the road is just as important as taking the first steps in science and art. That is why we held an extremely exciting, fun, and educational open lesson on Road Safety.
Our little ones turned into real drivers, pedestrians, and traffic controllers to learn the most important rules for safety and road etiquette.
Right at the beginning of the day, the children took part in fun interactive games, through which they recalled the meaning of the traffic lights. They quickly and flawlessly reinforced the knowledge that red means a mandatory stop, yellow requires attention and preparation, and green gives the right for pedestrians and cars to pass safely.
The most exciting part for the children was the practical simulation. Our specially equipped Road Safety playground turned into a busy city intersection. With the help of our teachers, the little “drivers” strictly respected the right of way of the pedestrians, who proudly crossed the “Zebra” crosswalk.
The kids now know perfectly well that they must always hold an adult’s hand when crossing and that before stepping onto the roadway, it is mandatory to look first left, then right, and then left again. In addition, they understood that phones and toys have no place in their hands when they are on the road.
