"World Water Day"

World Water Day

Nikator Private Kindergarten brightly and engagingly celebrated World Water Day, which takes place every year on March 22. In 2026, this important environmental holiday was dedicated to the theme “Where water flows, equality grows”, emphasizing the vital role of water for life and equality for all people on the planet.

Children eagerly immersed themselves in the magical world of water through a series of educational and creative activities.

The morning began with a fairy tale about a little water drop that traveled around the world: from a cloud to a river, then into a jug, into a plant, and even into a child’s body. The children listened with bated breath as the tiny drop helped everything alive, and they promised to take care of it and not waste water.

Then the children conducted real scientific experiments:

  • In the “Lava in a Bottle” experiment, they watched how oil, water, food coloring, and an effervescent tablet created the effect of bubbling colorful lava — helping them understand why some liquids do not mix with each other.
  • In the “Mixing Colors” experiment, the little ones experimented with primary paints and water, creating new shades and observing how water turns into a true “artist”.
  • Special excitement was caused by observing the reaction of salt, baking soda, and sunflower oil with water: the children saw how salt dissolves completely, soda produces bubbles, and oil remains as separate droplets on the surface.

The most creative moment of the day was painting on water (the ebru technique). The result was true masterpieces with swirls resembling outer space, sea waves, and fantastic flowers.

Nikator Kindergarten thanks eveyone for their support and wishes that every day be filled with care for nature and a mindful attitude toward water!
