At Nikator Private Secondary School Nikator in Sofia, we joyfully and patriotically celebrated two of the brightest March holidays – March 1st and March 3rd.
On March 1st, the children and students immersed themselves in the spring tradition: we held master classes on weaving martenitsi – using red and white threads, they created bracelets, figures, little dolls, and beautiful decorations. In addition, they worked in a craft atelier, where with creativity and imagination they made spring decorations, greeting cards, and symbols of health and good luck. The atmosphere was filled with smiles, songs, and charming chants dedicated to Baba Marta!
On March 3rd – Bulgaria’s National Liberation Day – we conducted a special lesson devoted to the heroism of our ancestors, the Treaty of San Stefano, and the rebirth of the state. Students took part in discussions, presentations, recitations of poems, and patriotic songs that reminded everyone how precious freedom is and how important it is to preserve the Bulgarian spirit and pride.
At “Nikator” we believe that traditions and history form the foundation of good education. Thank you to all teachers, students, and parents for their warm participation!
May Baba Marta bring us lots of sunshine, health, and good fortune, and may March 3rd inspire us to be more united and proud Bulgarians!
Happy holidays!
