Early in the morning of September 15, 2025, our students entered the schoolyard of the Nikator School, their eyes shining with joy and they`ve got flowers in hand. They eagerly congratulated each other and talked about the past summer. As per tradition, the ceremonial assembly began with the choir singing the school anthem, composed by the school teachers. Principal Ms. Shara Karsakpaeva congratulated everyone on the start of the school year and introduced the school teachers to the new students and parents. The parents learned about our students’ academic and extracurricular achievements during the past academic year. Ms. Snezhana Todorova, our traditional guest and Chair of the Union of Bulgarian Journalists, addressed everyone with warm words and recited the poem “First Day of School” by poetess Elisaveta Bagryana. Little first-graders recited poems about school in Bulgarian and Russian. Senior and eighth-graders took the first-graders by the hand and led them to class to the music of school songs. In keeping with ancient Bulgarian tradition, teachers greeted all students and parents with bread and honey. Bon voyage to the Land of Knowledge, children!
