On the honor of one of the brightest and most cherished Bulgarian holidays – May 24, the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian Alphabet, Education and Culture, and of Slavic Literature – an exciting recitation contest was held at the “Nikator” Private Secondary School.
The event brought together students and teachers, united by their love for the beautiful word and the rich cultural heritage of the Slavic peoples.
The main focus of this year’s contest was the presentation of works by significant Slavic writers and poets. The stage turned into a true mosaic of emotions, and the young talents of “Nikator” School demonstrated enviable artistry, deep understanding of the texts, and excellent command of speech.
The participants recited both classical masterpieces and contemporary works, capturing the subtle sensitivity, patriotism, and universal human values embedded in Slavic literature.
The jury, composed of teachers, faced the extremely difficult task of choosing the best among the best. The evaluation criteria included diction and expressiveness, stage presence, emotional impact on the audience, and the choice of piece.
All participants were rewarded with thunderous applause, and the laureates left with certificates and medals.
The contest at “Nikator” School proved that May 24 is not just a date on the calendar, but a living celebration of the spirit that continues to inspire and instill pride in young people.
