Students from Nikator Private Secondary School Immersed Themselves in History During a Visit to the National Historical Museum

Students from the Private Secondary School “Nikator” went on an exciting and enriching visit to the National Historical Museum (NHM). Organized as part of the school’s extracurricular activities for interactive and experiential learning, the event offered children the opportunity to experience Bulgaria’s most valuable historical artifacts firsthand.

During the tour, the students explored unique exhibits tracing the history of these lands from antiquity to the modern era. The world-famous Thracian gold treasures, weapons and armor from the periods of the First and Second Bulgarian Empires, as well as rich collections from the National Revival period, sparked great interest among them.

With the guidance of museum curators and their teachers, the children participated in discussions and learned fascinating facts about the daily life, culture, and statehood of their ancestors. For many, it was a chance to see history brought to life beyond their textbooks and to feel its significance.

The visit to the National Historical Museum once again proved the commitment of Nikator School to inspiring its students through hands-on lessons that foster patriotism, curiosity, and broad general knowledge.
