On March 16, 2026, students from grades 4 to 8 of the Nikator Private School visited the chemical laboratory at the University of Mining and Geology “St. Ivan Rilski”.
In the museum, they saw what the laboratory looked like 30 years ago and held in their hands old equipment — flasks, test tubes, and spirit lamps.
Later, in a modern laboratory, university lecturers explained the properties of the most common substances found in nature, performed experiments with them, and right in front of our students a volcano “erupted”, and they also tested the pH of water.
Our students were also shown the secret of film actors: using a special knife and a solution applied to the skin, realistic cuts and blood appear without causing any harm to the person.
Finally, our pupils viewed the photo exhibition dedicated to Water Week.
